LT&C Study Tour 2024: “East Spitsbergen and Bear Island”

To provide opportunities to learn first-hand about examples of tourism supporting protected areas (LT&C Examples), ÖTE —LT&C continues offering special study tours to explore them on-site.

To study the LT&C Example “Svalbard”, our founding member and Partner, Oceanwide Expeditions, for 2024, makes the following offer to our members:

July 2-10, 2024, you are invited to join the tour “OTL05-24 – East Spitsbergen and Bear Island” for a 20% discounted price.

It is a rare (and with new regulations from 2025 in force, last) opportunity to explore both Spitsbergen’s dramatic east coast and the majestic bird colonies of Bear Island. You will not only enter the realm of polar bears and ice, but the tour will also be fascinating for bird watchers looking out for high Arctic species during the best time of the year.
