About the merger

In 2022, LT&C transitioned from being a fully voluntary, membership-based NGO to a more project-focused organization. As part of this transformation, LT&C merged with ETE, with plans to move its headquarters from Norway to Germany—a key hub for tourism activities, businesses, and donors.

The combined strengths of ETE's focus on Germany and Europe and LT&C’s global reach create a solid foundation for the new organization. Moving forward, the organization will continue implementing projects in Germany and Europe, expand its global network, and pursue international collaborations.

This merger aims to build a stronger, more structured organization with enhanced administrative capacity and greater financial stability, ensuring long-term success in linking tourism and conservation.
