Brief description:
The insights and results gained from the previous project “Promoting sustainable tourism development in Germany – problem solutions and good examples” are taken up here with the aim of addressing further identified problems in the development of sustainable tourism in Germany and again looking for suitable solutions in successful exchange with experts from tourism, nature and environmental protection, leisure, sport and mobility.
The focus is once again on holding four specialist conferences on selected topics and implementation problems such as promoting sustainable tourism and realigning funding instruments; trail infrastructure and management; Significance and purpose of “lighthouse projects” in sustainable tourism development. The focus is on the goal-oriented development of practical implementation steps to solve the current need for action.
This is supported professionally by networking meetings of the associations' working group on sustainable tourism. This involves cooperation and networking between organizations from tourism, nature and environmental protection, sport, leisure and mobility at the federal level. The aim is the joint professional exchange, discussion and the search for problem solutions and cooperation.
